Software Standards

To ensure compatibility with other learning tools and practices, OnPoint's e-learning applications are all designed around industry standards and practices. Content created and stored in the OnPoint Course Manager is SCORM (Shareable Content Object Reference Model, version 1.2) conformant, allowing it to be easily imported/exported to other enterprise Learning Management Systems and third party platforms.

All OnPoint-managed information is tagged and stored in an open data model fully addressable via XML ("Extended Markup Language"). Finally, all XML-based content requested from and served up to users is delivered through easy to customize XSL/cascading style sheets and can be customized for display by any Java-enabled client including PCs, workstations, PDAs and even Java or WML-enabled cellular telephones.
