How does a CellCast get created?
- Step 1: Create and Upload AudioA CellCast Administrator creates (or converts) an audio file and uploads it to the OnPoint CellCast Manager. Audio files can be WAV or GSM format. Audio files are stored in the database for assignment to any CellCast Nugget.
- Step 2: Create a Test or SurveyThe CellCast Administrator then uses the Assessment function to create a test or survey they wish to add to the end of their CellCast Session. Assessments can include a variety of question types, including True/False, Multiple Choice/Single Answer, Likert and Numeric response, as well as Essay/Comment or "spoken word" responses. Users listening to CellCast Sessions will hear these questions read to them via an integrated text-to-speech converter. Alternatively, a separate audio file can be uploaded for each test question/answer set for a smoother, more consistent CellCast experience.
- Step 3: Create a CellCast NuggetThe CellCast Administrator now creates a CellCast Learning Nugget - a small package of content that includes the audio file and any associated tests or surveys. Administrators can determine whether a CellCast Session will be available as "pulled/on-demand" reference material, or "pushed" out to assigned users at a specific date and time. They can also decide how to announce the Session - via email or optional SMS messages. Time-sensitive notifications can be applied to meet any scheduling requirements.
- Step 4: Publishing & Tracking a CellCast Session The Administrator assigns a list of Users or Groups they want to access their CellCast content, then publishes the CellCast Nugget. This converts the CellCast content to "phone network-ready" content, deploys it to the CellCast Server to be accessed by users, and sends out the user notifications. Administrators and Reporting Managers can then begin tracking access statistics for each active CellCast Session including name, date/time, duration, etc. and can also review results for assessment questions and spoken-word responses given.
Performance Manager facilitates review and tracking of CellCasts.
